• Palate: Smooth and oily. It leads with butterscotch and toffee, followed by fresh red apples and a hint of maple syrup. The higher proof brings out a pleasant black pepper spice that isn't as prominent in the standard bottling.
• Finish: Medium-long and warming. It leaves behind lingering notes of charred oak, toasted grains, and a gentle vanilla sweetness.
