About the brand

The Black Tot brand was created to honor the history of the British Royal Navy rum ration. For over three hundred years, sailors were issued a daily portion of rum known as a tot. This tradition ended on July 31, 1970, a date now remembered as Black Tot Day. The brand began by bottling the last remaining stone flagons of the original navy stock and has since evolved to produce modern blends that capture that same spirit of multi-country complexity. While the original navy rum was blended for consistency and strength, the modern Black Tot collection focuses on transparency and the unique characteristics of Caribbean distilleries.
