About the product

A rare and highly sought-after single cask Macallan, distilled on 7 October 2004 and bottled on 16 July 2020 after more than 15 years in a single European oak sherry butt. Selected by Whisky Maker Stephen Bremner as one of the standout casks of the year, this limited release of just 560 bottles captures Macallan at its purest and most individual.

Bottled at natural cask strength of 61.5% ABV, it offers a rich, mouthcoating experience. The nose opens with sweet raisins and almond pastry, layered with chocolate orange, oak spice and vanilla. On the palate, the same almond pastry richness returns, joined by dark chocolate, vanilla, raisin and a warming touch of ginger. The finish is medium length, sweet and generous, with lingering ginger and oak spice.

Part of The Macallan’s prestigious Exceptional Single Cask series, a modern continuation of the legendary single cask bottlings of the 1990s, this is a true collector’s whisky: unique to this one cask, intensely flavoured, and produced in extremely limited numbers.
