About the brand
Kilkerran is the single malt produced at Mitchell’s Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. Since its revival in 2004 by the owners of Springbank, Kilkerran has become a cult favorite for its "old-school," hands-on production. The 8 Year Old Cask Strength series is released in annual batches, alternating between (or sometimes including both) Sherry and Bourbon cask maturations. While the Sherry editions are often dark and jammy, the Bourbon Cask editions are prized by purists for showcasing the raw, funky, and coastal character of the Kilkerran spirit.
