Pinhook is a unique "non-distiller producer" (NDP) that operates much like a wine negociant or a horse stable. Each year, they release a new "crop" of whiskey, named after a promising young thoroughbred racehorse.
The Philosophy: Unlike brands that strive for a single consistent flavor profile, Pinhook embraces the variability of each vintage. Their Master Blender, Sean Josephs, tastes the aging barrels and chooses a specific proof and blend that best expresses the character of that specific year's liquid.
