About the product
Tequila Celosa Rosé Reposado is a refined and modern tequila crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave and finished in red wine barrels, giving it a distinctive rosé hue and elegant character. This unique aging process enhances both the visual appeal and the complexity of the spirit.
On the palate, it offers a smooth balance of cooked agave, vanilla, and light caramel, complemented by delicate notes of red berries, rose petals, and subtle oak. The wine cask influence introduces a gentle fruitiness and soft floral undertones without overpowering the tequila’s natural profile.
The texture is silky and approachable, leading to a clean, slightly sweet finish with lingering hints of fruit and light spice.
Elegant and versatile, Tequila Celosa Rosé Reposado is ideal for sipping or for adding a sophisticated twist to premium cocktails.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairings
Taste Notes
The use of red wine barrels imparts a silky texture and a distinct "berry" sweetness that sets it apart from traditional wood-aged tequilas.
- Nose Fragrant and floral. You will find notes of fresh cherry and strawberry sorbet, balanced by the sharp freshness of pink grapefruit and tropical citrus.
- Palate Soft and velvety. It opens with crushed red berries and passionfruit, followed by a creamy layer of vanilla and red grapes. The influence of the French oak provides a refined, wine-like tannin structure.
- Finish Long and remarkably smooth. It leaves a sweet, lingering trail of cherry blossoms and cooked agave, with no alcoholic burn.
Food Pairings
Because of its "Rosa" profile and berry undertones, this tequila pairs beautifully with lighter, summer-inspired dishes and sophisticated desserts.
- Savory Ahi Tuna Carpaccio with Raspberries. The raw fish matches the tequila's silkiness, while the berries in the dish resonate with the wine-cask notes.
- Seafood Grilled Shrimp with a Citrus Glaze. The charred agave notes and the grapefruit on the nose elevate the sweetness of the shellfish.
- Cheese Fresh Burrata with Strawberries and Balsamic. The creaminess of the cheese is a perfect foil for the tequila's fruit-forward acidity.
- Sweet Macarons or White Chocolate Mousse. The vanilla and red berry notes in Celosa make it a natural companion for delicate, airy desserts.
About the brand
Celosa is the result of a powerful lineage meeting modern innovation. The brand was founded by Jose Antonio Alonso Beckmann, a 12th generation member of the legendary Beckmann family (of Jose Cuervo fame), and Jaime Villalobos Sauza, a 5th generation distiller from the Sauza family. Together, they combined their deep heritage with a passion for wine culture. The name Celosa, meaning jealous, refers to the idea that once someone tastes this unique rose spirit, they will never want to share it. The brand is also distinguished by its artisanal packaging, featuring a bottle with a heavy marble cap handcrafted by Mexican stone masons, making each unit a piece of art.
