About the brand
Absolut is a global icon of Swedish vodka, produced in the small village of Åhus since 1879. The brand is famous for its "One Source" philosophy, meaning every drop is made using winter wheat from local fields and water from their own deep well. Absolut has been a pioneer in LGBTQ+ allyship since 1981, advertising in queer-interest magazines long before it was mainstream. The Rainbow Edition is a collaboration with the Gilbert Baker Foundation, honoring the activist who designed the original Pride flag in 1978.
