    Courvoisier is one of the world’s most celebrated cognac houses, with a history dating back to 1809 when Emmanuel Courvoisier and Louis Gallois established a wine and spirits business in the Paris suburb of Bercy. By 1828, the company had moved to Jarnac, in the heart of the Cognac region, where it remains today. Over the decades, Courvoisier built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and became known as the “Cognac of Napoleon” after the French emperor reportedly visited the cellars and took barrels of Courvoisier with him into exile.

    The brand produces its cognacs exclusively from grapes grown in the Cognac AOC, using a blend of eaux-de-vie from the four top crus: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois.
