Aged in oak barrels, it develops a rich golden color and a layered complexity. This rum carries the famous Jamaican "hogo" (funk) but in a refined, accessible way that highlights the elegance of the aging process.

  • Nose Punchy and aromatic. You will find classic notes of overripe banana, pineapple, and guava, followed by savory layers of light tobacco, toasted oak, and leather.
  • Palate Full-bodied and buttery. It opens with tropical fruit jam and vanilla, transitioning into a complex mid-palate of toffee, roasted nuts, and nutmeg. There is a distinct "pastry" quality, like a warm brioche.
  • Finish Long, dry, and spicy. It leaves a lingering trail of black pepper, ginger, and dark chocolate, with a final hint of oak tannin and cedar.

About the brand

Worthy Park Estate is one of the oldest sugar estates in Jamaica with records of rum production dating back to 1741. Located in a lush fertile valley in the center of the island the estate has been owned by only three families in its three hundred year history. The Clarke family who currently operate the estate purchased it in 1918 and have since turned it into a world leader in sustainable sugar and spirits. After a forty five year hiatus in distillation the current distillery was built in 2005 under the direction of Gordon Clarke. Unlike many other producers Worthy Park uses only its own estate grown sugar cane which provides a consistent high quality source of molasses. This vertical integration allows them to maintain total control over the flavor profile which is characterized by a heavy oily body and vibrant tropical fruit.
