About The Product
Harlen D. Wheatley HDW CLIX Vodka is an ultra-premium, limited-edition vodka that pushes the boundaries of what is possible in distillation. Crafted at Buffalo Trace Distillery under the expertise of Master Distiller Harlen D. Wheatley, this release is named “CLIX” after the Roman numerals for 159 — the exact number of separate distillations required to create it. That staggering level of refinement transforms a blend of four carefully selected grains — soft red winter wheat, rye, yellow dent corn, and malted barley — into a vodka of unmatched purity and balance.
The process is uncompromising. From 28,400 gallons of mash, only 332 gallons of spirit are preserved, producing around 2,000 bottles in total. After more than a year spent in distillation, the spirit rests for an additional 12 months in stainless steel tanks, ensuring the final result achieves the utmost clarity, polish, and finesse. Every stage of its creation reflects extreme selectivity and patience, underscoring why CLIX is considered one of the rarest vodkas in the world.
Presentation matches the quality of the liquid. Each bottle is housed in a handcrafted, lead-free crystal decanter designed by Nouvel Studio, complete with a crystal stopper, and encased in a burl wood presentation box. The packaging is as much a collector’s statement piece as the vodka itself, designed to signal exclusivity and prestige.
Harlen D. Wheatley HDW CLIX Vodka is more than a luxury spirit — it is a technical achievement in distilling. With only a few thousand bottles ever released, it represents the highest expression of Wheatley’s vision: a vodka born from obsessive attention to detail, rare in both quantity and character, and designed for those who value scarcity, craftsmanship, and legacy in equal measure.
