About the product
The fourth release in The Macallan’s celebrated Edition Series, this limited edition Speyside single malt was created to mark the opening of the distillery’s pioneering new home. Inspired by the architecture of the new building, Master Distiller Nick Savage selected seven carefully chosen sherry seasoned European and American oak casks to reveal the structure of the whisky itself.
Bottled at 48.4% ABV with a natural burnished copper colour, it delivers a zesty, vibrant character. The nose opens with bold rounded honey and sweet toffee apple, followed by orange zest, ginger, nutmeg and polished mature oak, with subtle green wood and floral notes in the background. On the palate, nutmeg, wood spices and green cloves lead into a calm wave of sweet vanilla and a rich, viscous mouthfeel. The finish is fruity, oaky sweet and long lasting.
