An iconic expression from The Macallan’s Sherry Oak Collection, this 2024 annual release is matured exclusively for 18 years in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. It delivers the rich and complex character that has made the 18 year old one of the most celebrated single malts in the world.
Bottled at 43% ABV with a natural light mahogany colour, the nose opens with treacle tart and stem ginger, followed by soaked raisins, sultanas, a hint of orange and ground cinnamon. On the palate it is soft yet full bodied, revealing dark chocolate-coated ginger, sticky dates and dried apricots, balanced by mature oak and a gentle vanilla sweetness. The finish is long and lingering, with dried fruits, ginger and polished oak.
