An iconic expression from The Macallan’s Sherry Oak Collection, this 2018 release is matured exclusively for 18 years in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. The result is a rich and complex Speyside single malt that showcases the house’s mastery of wood and spirit.
Bottled at 43% ABV with natural light mahogany colour, the nose opens with dried fruits and ginger, accompanied by hints of vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate it is soft yet full bodied, revealing mature oak, raisin, clove, orange and subtle spice. The finish is long and lingering, with dried fruits, ginger and orange zest.
The 2018 edition marked the introduction of the updated bottle design while preserving the classic Sherry Oak profile that has made this expression one of the most sought after in The Macallan range. A refined and robust whisky ideal for special occasions.
