About the product
O’RTE is an ultra-premium, 100% Blue Weber Agave, single-estate tequila with complex flavors that suit the distinguished palettes of those who appreciate the finer things in life.
O'RTE view the craft of tequila as an art form and an expression of our personal passion. The master tequilero approaches his craft with deep reverence, patience and care for each step in the process.
O'RTE chose to work with a single estate for the strong sense of place and the ability to work with generations of family and staff. They participate in every step of the harvesting and selection process and the end result is a celebration of Mexico’s spirits and cuisine, glorious ancient treasures and pristine landscapes.
The Reposado has the following profiles:
Golden color
Floral honey, briny bell pepper, mint, vanilla
Oak influence emerges, with vanilla and butterscotch notes serving a luxurious conclusion
Tasting Profile & Food Pairings
Taste Notes
Because it is a single-estate product, profiles can shift slightly by year, but the O’RTE Añejo is generally known for its oily texture and "garden" aromatics.
- Nose: Highly aromatic and floral. It opens with gardenia and white flowers, followed by bright citrus zest and cooked agave. There is a sophisticated undercurrent of light milk chocolate and vanilla.
- Palate: Rich and velvety. You will find honey, salted butter, and warm agave leading the way. The mid-palate introduces brown baking spices (cinnamon and nutmeg) and a soft, peppery kick.
- Finish: Long and elegant. It leaves a lingering trail of toffee, light caramel, and a touch of roasted nuts, with a clean, mineral exit that reminds you of the soil it came from.
Food Pairings
The floral honey and light chocolate notes of O’RTE Añejo make it a perfect match for rich, savory-sweet Mexican cuisine.
- Savory: Cochinita Pibil (Slow-roasted Pork). The earthiness of the achiote and the richness of the pork are elevated by the tequila’s honey and spice notes.
- Main: Mole Poblano. The hint of chocolate in the Añejo provides a direct flavor bridge to the cacao in the mole sauce.
- Cheese: Aged Gouda or Manchego. The butterscotch-like crystals in an aged Gouda perfectly complement the tequila’s "butter and caramel" palate.
- Sweet: Dark Chocolate Tart with Orange Zest. The bitterness of the chocolate pulls out the tequila’s gardenia and citrus notes for a luxurious finish.
About the brand
O’RTE was founded by Julious Grant, a 30-year veteran of the spirits industry (formerly of Beam Suntory, Bacardi, and Moët Hennessy). Grant created O’RTE (an acronym for "Agave" and "Art") to honor his Mexican heritage. In 2026, the brand is celebrated for its transparency; the front of each bottle clearly displays the name of the specific estate where the agave was grown. This "Estate-Specific" approach allows drinkers to explore the difference between the floral, sweet agaves of the Highlands (Los Altos) and the earthy, spicy agaves of the Lowlands (Valley) within the same brand lineup.
