About the product

Meiomi Sauvignon Blanc delivers bright, refreshing flavors with tropical fruit notes and crisp acidity. This California wine showcases vibrant citrus and stone fruit characteristics, making it an ideal choice for warm weather sipping or pairing with seafood, salads, and light appetizers. Smooth and approachable, it's perfect for both everyday enjoyment and entertaining. A versatile white wine that balances elegance with easy-drinking appeal.

Tasting Profile & Food Pairings

Taste Notes

True to the Meiomi style, this is a more "expressive" and tropical Sauvignon Blanc compared to the lean, grassy versions from France.

  • Appearance: Pale straw with hints of green.
  • Aroma: A "tropical punch" nose featuring honeyed pineapple, mango, and guava, balanced by zesty lime and a subtle hint of dewy grass.
  • Palate: Medium-bodied and surprisingly plush for a white wine. It tastes of ripe stone fruits (peach/apricot) and lemon zest.
  • Finish: Crisp and energetic, but rounded. It doesn't have the "sharp bite" of some New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, making it very easy to drink.

Food Pairings

Because it has a bit more "weight" than your average white wine, it can handle a variety of dishes:

  • Fresh & Tangy: Goat cheese (the ultimate pairing), Greek salads, or ceviche.
  • From the Sea: Grilled oysters, shrimp scampi, or fish tacos with a tropical salsa.
  • Vegetarian: Roasted asparagus, pasta primavera, or avocado toast.
  • Asian Cuisine: Excellent with sushi rolls, Thai green curry, or Vietnamese spring rolls.

About the brand

Meiomi (meaning "Coast" in the language of the native Wappo tribe) was founded in 2007 by Joe Wagner. While the brand was sold to Constellation Brands in 2015 for $315 million, it has maintained its reputation for creating a distinct, crowd-pleasing style.

The brand is famous for "The Tri-County Blend," sourcing fruit from California's premier coastal regions—Sonoma, Monterey, and Santa Barbara. This approach allows them to combine the ripeness of the sunny valleys with the bright acidity of the foggy coastline.
