A rare limited release from Elijah Craig, this 21 year old single barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon is deeply mature and exceptionally complex. Shaped by more than two decades of patient aging, it stands as a bold yet refined testament to the elegance that only time can create.
Bottled at 94 proof, each barrel is individually selected, dumped and bottled, with the barrel number and bottling date handwritten on the label. The color is a rich mahogany. On the nose, toasted oak and leather are backed by complex spices. The palate delivers rich milk chocolate, toasted nuts and notes of burnt caramel. The finish brings aged oak and molasses that give way to barrel char and peppery spices.
A sophisticated addition to the Elijah Craig Single Barrel family and currently the brand’s oldest age statement available. Best enjoyed neat to fully appreciate its depth and nuance.
