About the brand

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Line: This entire brand is a multi-award-winning homage to Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., who owned the distillery (now Buffalo Trace) in the late 1800s. A visionary and patriot, Taylor is responsible for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which guaranteed the quality and purity of American whiskey.

Small Batch: This is the flagship of the collection. It is aged in the legendary "Warehouse C," built by Taylor himself in 1881. It is a Bottled-in-Bond bourbon, meaning it is the product of one distillation season, by one distiller, at one distillery, and aged for at least four years.

Barrel Proof: The "big brother" of the Small Batch. This is a limited, annual release that is bottled uncut and unfiltered. It is essentially the Small Batch's flavor profile turned up to maximum volume, capturing the exact proof and character of the whiskey as it matured in the charred oak barrels.
