About the brand
The brand was founded in 2009 by Ken Austin (a former Senior VP at Seagram’s and founder of Marquis Jet). Austin spent years in the Highlands of Jalisco searching for the perfect agave and a family-run distillery that refused to cut corners. He partnered with the Lopez family, fifth-generation agave growers in the small town of Jesús María. Together, they focused on a "single-origin" philosophy, using only agave grown at 7,000 feet above sea level—the highest elevation in the region.
