About the product
Signorello Estate “Signori” is a premium Napa Valley red blend crafted to showcase richness, balance, and estate-driven character. Produced from carefully selected vineyard lots, it reflects a modern Napa style with depth and polish.
On the nose, it reveals aromas of dark berries, black cherry, and plum, layered with hints of cocoa, vanilla, and subtle spice. The palate is full-bodied and expressive, offering flavors of blackberry, cassis, and ripe dark fruit, supported by notes of chocolate, toasted oak, and baking spice.
The tannins are firm yet well-integrated, providing structure while maintaining a smooth, velvety texture. The finish is long and refined, with lingering dark fruit, spice, and a touch of oak.
Bold yet balanced, Signori is designed for both immediate enjoyment and aging, pairing well with red meats, grilled dishes, and rich, savory cuisine.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairings
Taste Notes
In 2026, the "Signori" is noted for its "Tenor" rather than "Baritone" voice—leaning into herbal complexity and floral aromatics.
- Nose Highly aromatic and sophisticated. It opens with bright cherry, plum preserves, and cassis, followed by a "mountain-air" freshness featuring bergamot tea, sage, and crushed potpourri.
- Palate Full-bodied but incredibly nimble. You will find waves of macerated cherries and blackberries, transitioning into savory mid-palate notes of mocha, tobacco leaf, and graphite.
- Finish Persistent and resonant. It leaves a long, evolving trail of espresso, dark chocolate, and cloves, supported by fine-grained, "velvety" tannins that promise long-term aging.
Food Pairings
The wine’s savory-herbal profile and integrated oak make it a perfect match for sophisticated, slow-cooked dishes.
- Savory Braised Short Ribs with Rosemary. The herbal nuances of the wine (sage and tea) harmonize beautifully with the aromatic herbs used in the braise.
- Main Grilled Bison Burgers or Venison. The lean, gamey quality of these meats is supported by the wine's acidity and graphite-driven minerality.
- Cheese Mimolette or Aged Clothbound Cheddar. The nuttiness of the cheese highlights the toasted almond and mocha notes in the finish.
- Sweet Dark Chocolate Tart with Sea Salt. The cocoa notes in the wine are a direct mirror to the chocolate, while the salt pulls out the plum fruit.
About the brand
Signorello Estate was co-founded in 1977 by the father-son duo Ray Signorello Sr. and Jr. Following the devastating Atlas Fire in 2017 which destroyed the original winery the estate has undergone a monumental rebirth. Under the guidance of Ray Jr. and winemaker Priyanka French the estate has doubled down on an "Old World" philosophy—focusing on finesse and acidity rather than raw power. The "Signori" (meaning gentlemen in Italian) is a tribute to the men who built the estate and is designed to be the "structured brother" to their flagship Padrone. It represents a specific fingerprint of their volcanic soil and the unique shadows cast by the Vaca Mountains.
