Stagg

Blanton’s Original Single Barrel

Taste Notes: Elegant and balanced. A creamy nose of vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch. The palate is lighter and more floral than Stagg, with notes of citrus zest, nutmeg, and honey, finishing with a clean, dry clip of corn and baking spices.

About the brand

Based in Frankfort, Kentucky, Buffalo Trace is the distillery behind both of these icons. Stagg (formerly known as Stagg Jr.) is the bold, barrel-proof tribute to George T. Stagg, the man who built the distillery into a 19th-century powerhouse. Blanton’s is the refined, single-barrel creation of Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee, named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who spent over 55 years preserving the distillery's traditions.
