• Nose: Rich and sweet. Expect deep burnt caramel, artificial vanilla, and a distinct touch of sweet honey. There is a noticeable oaky backbone with a faint whiff of charcoal smoke.
• Palate: Smooth and oily. It leads with butterscotch and toffee, followed by fresh red apples and a hint of maple syrup. The higher proof brings out a pleasant black pepper spice that isn't as prominent in the standard bottling.
• Finish: Medium-long and warming. It leaves behind lingering notes of charred oak, toasted grains, and a gentle vanilla sweetness.

The "oomph" of the 86-proof Master Distiller No. 1 allows it to pair exceptionally well with rich, savory, and smoky flavors:

• The Ultimate BBQ Match: Smoked Beef Brisket or Ribs. The whiskey's charcoal-mellowed sweetness (from the Lincoln County Process) acts as a natural bridge to the smoky bark of the meat, while the 43% ABV helps cut through the heavy animal fats.
