About the brand
Originally launched in 1975 by Charles L. Beam (of the famous Beam family), Eagle Rare was intended to be a "luxury" bourbon. Since 1992, it has been produced at the historic Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is known for its "low-rye" mash bill (Mash Bill #1), which it shares with Buffalo Trace and E.H. Taylor.
