About The Product
Amrut Indian Single Malt Whisky represents the pioneering spirit of Indian whisky making, crafted in Bangalore at one of India’s most respected distilleries. Distilled from select Indian barley, grown at the foothills of the Himalayas and malted using traditional methods, this whisky captures both local terroir and global influence. A proportion of peated Scottish barley is also used, lending subtle smoky undertones to the natural richness of the Indian grain.
Maturation takes place in oak casks under Bangalore’s hot and humid climate, a factor that accelerates the interaction between wood and spirit. This unique environment results in an expression that shows remarkable depth for its age, with concentrated layers of fruit, spice, and oak developing more rapidly than in traditional Scottish warehouses. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration and with no added color, the whisky retains its natural character and full body.
Recognized worldwide for redefining perceptions of Indian whisky, Amrut Single Malt has become a staple among enthusiasts and collectors alike. Its balance of heritage methods, bold climate-driven maturation, and natural presentation has earned it a place alongside leading single malts from established whisky regions.
